Pranking Sophie's boyfriend + other cool stuff

Ryan, Carissa, Sophie and I spent a full day together last Monday (20/2/2012). We met up at 9:00AM and made our way to the city. First we went thrifting, then Fox studios to see The Voice Australia (but there were no seats left, so we are going next month), then we shopping in the city and had Ichiban Boshi ramen for lunch, and ended the day at Norita cafe playing Da Vinci Code, and prank calling friends. Phew! That was one long sentence with lots of commas and 'and's.
-
At Fox studios, I asked Ryan to take outfit shots for me. My camera has been screwing up lately and I sometimes if wont let me set timer. It's hard to take full-body self shots now. I was wearing tinted lip balm from Alice btw! It's Burtsbees in raisin, and it can seriously pass as a lipstick! I love it!

The wedges don't suit the outfit at all! I had to deal with it because my black boots died.
We've never been to Fox studios before, but I would like to come back sometime because we didn't get to check out all the shops there. There was one store that had a bunch of branded clothing for crazy cheap, but then we soon realised that everything was fake and left.
Oh and something funny happened at Fox. My friends and I were eye-stalked by a bunch of random shades-wearing Asians. They just kept eyeing us down, smiling and even waved at us at one point! Ryan took a photo of these guys and zoomed in to try and see if he could recognize any of them. When he was taking a photo, people thought he spotted a celebrity and started to pull out their cameras! LOL!!!
There was a row of wonky mirrors in the playground area.
We headed back to Market City where I contemplated on buying a pair of Docs, and the girls scored some neat stuff. I ended up buying the Docs -_- So bad at saving money! Then we walked to Town Hall for ramen at Ichiban Boshi. Sophie and I had the miso ramen. Mmm.

Kinokunya is next door, so we went there next to check out some books. Carissa spotted a Studio Ghibli display of toys and she called us over. We mucked about with the plushies for some time before leaving to go to Noritas.
Gigi the cat from 'Kiki's Delivery Service'.
Sophie couldn't take her eyes off the Gigi plush! He's so expensive buh... $85!!!!
Stuff I bought
I've been wanting a small leather backpack, but I got a medium-sized one instead. Meh, It was only $10.
I bought these mittens because my friends told me to get them. I guess it'll come in handy when winter comes!
This giant knit was really heavy, but I couldn't say no to it. The pattern is just too cute! Sophie picked it out for Ryes but he didn't like it, so I ended up with it.
Last but not least, here are the Doc Martens I mentioned earlier. I got 'em for $170-ish. They are quite comfy, and not as heavy as I imagined them to be!
Pranking Adam
At Noritas, we decided to prank a few friends and scare them about illiegal porn streaming. Most of them hung up on us, how rude! But I would have done the same. We pranked Sophie's boyfriend, Adam, and scared him good! :D :D :D

Coffs Harbour

Looong photo-heavy post ahead!
I'm kinda tired today, but I feel that I should update my blog. I mean, I had 5 days to recover after coming back from my trip. Since I am extremely lazy today, I shall dot point things that we did there and just photo spam. Hey! A picture speaks a thousand words aye? Some photos are from my friend's facebook. Oh, and yes I did record some videos, but they are kinda shaky so I will only upload one. You'd die of motion sickness if you see 'em all.
DAY ONE
●     Met at 6:00AM and trained to Strathfield. Switched to a coach to Taree, and then switched again for Country Link train to Coffs Harbour. It took us 9 hours to get there!

Here's a recorded mini house tour!!!! :D

●    We had Indian for dinner, and clonked out at home. We were all tired from the trip.
Made silly faces and took fat booth-like photo whist waiting for our food.
DAY TWO
●    Woke up, had bacon and eggs with toast and taxied to The Big Banana. They had water slides, taboggans, ice skating, puppets, candy-making shop and lots of other neat sturff there! Most of the time there was spent in the gift shop. They have so many cute plushies and banana related things. We didn't get to do everything because it was getting late and Jeno and I had to get back to the house to do our tutorial registration.
Photo of the day ♥ Poor guy injured his foot after doing this jump shot!
Gift shop galore! I should've bought the golden eyes banana (bottom right corner).
Candy-making shop! They had realistic koala poo-shaped chocolates!
●      Celebrated Carissa's 20th birthday! Happy birthday again Car Car!
●      Had a newspaper parade! We had to work with our partners and create newspaper outfits in 30 minutes. It was the most silliest thing that I've ever done! But it was a lot of fun :D
DAY THREE
●      We were meant to go canoeing today, but instead went camel riding. We went pretty late too! After noon-ish. The camels were so cute and smelly! Sophie and I rode on the last camel, he's name is Monkey, hehe. The ride was okay, I got a tan from staying in the sun for too long. That's about it for the third day. We just chilled at a nearby beach afterwards and went home for dinner.
DAY FOUR
●      Canoeing!!! Again, we woke up late zzz. The canoe guy came to pick us up, and in his mini bus was a cute little doggy! Her name is Poppy and she is so friendly and energetic! She's also mad about sticks and likes to eat Shapes biscuits.

Ryes fell in and flipped his boat, so the others went to rescue him.
●      After canoeing, we went home and had our last dinner together. We packed our bags and played cards until 4:00/5:00AM. The train home was scheduled to come at 7:00AM, so we didn't get much sleep. The train ride was bad... They wouldn't turn off the air con so we were all very cold. Overall, the trip was really fun and I would love to go on more trips with my friends!
Thank you to Mary and Sophie for making this trip possible! They were the organizers for everything, from accommodation to travel and activities.

Uni starts next week, so that'll mean that I wont be blogging as much. (a) I will be busy with uni work, and (b) I wont be going out and shopping as much which = nothing to blog about. Anyway, I have another post coming before uni hits, so stay tuned!!!

More gifts from Asia!

I decided to blog again just before I leave :)
I love receiving souvenirs from places my friends have travelled to. I remember before they left, they'd ask everyone what we'd like from overseas. It's hard to say what you want, because you don't really know. Someone suggested eyelashes and yeah, now I have a lifetime supply of eyelashes LOL!
Gifts from overseas make me feel like I've been there. You know? I have something from that place which connects me to it. It's not the same as buying something here made from the country. My friends actually travelled there and hand picked these items for me, which makes it something special.
As mentioned in my last post, a few more friends of mine came back from Asia. And of course they showered us with more gifts!

From Vietnam
I thought that the art piece below was made out of stone, but I was quickly corrected when Ryan told us it was really made from eggshell. Are you for real?! I mean, I know that people make artworks out of sand and stuff, but eggshell? O_O I was more surprised that he bought us face masks! *pats head*
I laughed when Ryan handed me the Mr Midnight novel. Besides from the title, the entire book is in Vietnamese! I'm going to have such a hard time reading it, but I accept this challenge!

My close-enough translation: "Horror at midnight hour."

From Thailand and Cambodia
Jenny came home from her Asia trip with a funny welcome from Jeno and Mary. Instead of getting her a "Welcome home" balloon, they got her a "Welcome to Australia" one, which made her look like a refugee. LOL. I missed out going to the airport because I slept in :c
Mary and Jenny at the airport - Check out Jenny's sexy outfit, hehehe. Anyway, check out what she got usss!
I've always wanted overalls!
Elephants are apparently big in Asia. I think the shawl works well as a turban.

I've started to pack for my trip. My mom thinks that I am over-packing, so I had to put some clothes back. Even though I'm close to checking off my what-to-bring list, I feel like I am missing something. What if I run out of clothes or get hungry?!

I'm so prepared. It feels like I'm going on a school camping trip! I know I will miss home a lot even if it's only for a week. One day away from home, and I'm already missing my family! :'C
Okay, bye everyone! Take care!

Summer is finally here!

I go out a lot but I hardly ever take any photos! I bring my camera with me, but I end up having so much fun that I forget or can't be bothered to take photos. Meow.
I'm using the new blogspot interface thingy-ma-bob, so that's why my photos have captions boxed underneath them. This update is awesome! Why didn't I convert my blog earlier?! I'm always scared of changing things because of fear that I can't revert back. Anyway, my friends and I went thrifting last week and I scored some more awesome items. My room has shitty lighting so that's why my photos look like they were taken from my phone.

Chopped the sleeves off because it works better as a tank.
I'm not sure if this is meant to be a dress or a shirt. It's a bit long to be a shirt and too sheer to be a dress.
Gold glittery top
Here's a photo of what my mates and I made last week. So proud that we actually made this! Gotta love lamb chups!
I went a little crazy on the rosemary.
Soy milk and green tea/red bean ice cream waffles. Loveee the fish-shaped ones!
Bought nail polish in similar shades. I'm wearing Professor Plum at the moment. :D
Bondi burn!
I checked the weather on Saturday, and it said that Sunday was going to be super hot, so I rounded up a few friends to go to Bondi. I wanted to make the most of the day because it has been really gloomy in Sydney lately. It's been cold and raining nearly everyday here! What a lame Summer aye? Oh, and I wanted to go to the beach to tan my body. Lols.

Sunday was a really beautiful day. The sky was mad blue and the water was cool (and salty!). Usually I go to the beach to tan. I don't like to get wet because salt water makes my hair all knotty. This time I didn't care! I floated and doggy paddled far away from shore with Jeno. We nearly got knocked out by boogie boarders on a few occasions! Annoying kids!

Jeno and I, all changed and ready to get wet!

Found this cute little purple shell. I wanted to keep it but it had a creature inside of it!

Tanning Asians

Peter, Carissa, Ryan and Mary.

Our hero!

I soooooo got a tan. I'm like 2 shades darker.
Quick outfit shot! It was awkward taking these because people had to dodge to stay out of the picture.
I hope you guys are having an awesome Summer (or Winter)! This week is going to be a busy one! A few more friends are coming back from their trip to Asia, and I have to pack and figure out how to register for my tutorials. Why? Because next week I am going to Coff's Harbour. My friends and I got ourselves a house there near the beach. It better not rain! I'll be video recording and taking photos to update you guys on my week-long trip.
