BBQ and New Years

BBQ
I was meant to post this days ago, but i kept delaying the post - sorry
Anyways, my friends organised the last BBQ for 2009 at Chipping Norton. The girls had to meet up early to buy the food, we were such noobs because we weren't sure how much meat and stuff is needed and we ended up not having enough food. We spent money on unnecessary things like coal and lighters, when the BBQ ran on electricity -_-
That day had to be my most unlucky day
1/ I accidentally insulted my friends' dad (don't want to talk about it)
2/ I dropped a half of our food supply
3/ Ate raw sausages, suffered pain along with others
The most exciting part was when we managed to get a free ride from a friendly fisher man :)

Jackie's Dinner

Right after the BBQ i went to Jackie's dinner party. I didn't even get a chance to rest when Jeno came over to my place to pick me up. Me, Jeno, Sophie and Evan were enjoying ourselves like a kid in a candy shop. We explored Jackie's place and took random photos whilst Jackie cooked our meal. We ate a delicious meal and played some trivia game til 3am. After the game we sat and talked til 6am, apparently i look scary at night. It was super tiring but fun to catch up with friends.
No photos yet.. I'll post them up as soon as i get my hands on them.

Late Christmas

Christmas
I haven't updated this blog in a week! I actually planned a huge extravagant post for Christmas, but this year's Christmas was a let down.
Sylvia called her friends over and we all walked to Cab to pick up more of her friends and buy food. It was raining and we had to borrow umbrellas, asian ones too. It was funny walking to the shops because we were all holding umbrellas. From birds-eye view, it'd look like a clasp of colourful hexa/octagons. When we got back to our place, we decided on a movie and started cooking the food. And so we had a big family-like dinner and watched Darkness Falls followed by Karaoke and another movie. Darkness Falls wasn't that scary, since I've already seen it at Helen's 2 years prior. Haha, Sylvia's friends were freaked out and the quote of the day was
"Stay in the Light!"
Sylvia's friends are pretty cool, I hardly invite people over, maybe i should start.
Her friends left near 12am but I went out with a friend til 6am, so i didn't really sleep at all..

Boxing Day
I've always thought Boxing Day was dedicated to boxing, as in the sport. Me and Sylvia were meant to go early but we ended up going at 12pm. We wanted to go Para but it was closed. Gees, why would you close the shops on Boxing Day?
QVB was so crowded it was hot and hard to breathe. We've learnt our lesson - Don't bother going into Myers on boxing day, or if you do, go bright and early. Just like the quote

"the early bird gets the worm"

We walked around for 5 hours, all i bought were navy shorts since nothing really appealed to me. After browsing in QVB we walked to market city for more browsing. Once again, nothing, so we splurged our gold coins on the claw machine. I failed to get anything but Sylvia's claw picked two keyrings in one try - wtf!?

Train Ride
On the train home we were forced to stand since there were no vacant seats. I felt like my legs were going to break. I kept looking into the bottom carriage for empty seats, but every time i spotted one, someone would beat me to it. And every time I looked into the carriage this guy would stare back at me. He had bleached hair and a red-chequed shirt, overall pretty cute. Anyways, there was a vacant spot behind him, so me and Sylvia migrated there. His group turned on Wedding Dress on loud speakers and they were a bit rowdy.. The guy turned around a zillion times and i just crossed my fingers chanting silently
"don't talk to me, don't talk to me..."
He flipped his chair around and sat opposite to me.
I was listening to my ipod so I didn't hear much of what they were saying, but i heard his friend say "I wonder why you moved"
Then a girl pointed at him and said loudly
"He's from Melbourne"
umm.. Getting off the train was a relief
.
Bye Bye Melbourne Boy

Atar

It's stupid how your future is based on a number
I woke up at 7am this morning to pretty much camp out for my HSC results. I thought it was out at 6am like our exam marks but someone told me that 9am was when it'll be posted. So i logged onto msn and waited til the exact time. I'm capped atm, so when i went onto the page and tried to load my results. It took foreverrrrr
To make matters worse, i dc'ed twice and ended up using my cousins laptop to view my results.
Hmmm, and my atar was pretty bad. Not "omg i'll cry a river" bad, but you get me. I thought i would've don
e "better", seriously, i mean i got marks in the 70s - 80s zone. College/Tafe here i come? we'll see..
Anyways, the day before yesterday my friends and i went to the movies to watch Where The Wild Things Are something's wrong with me, i always have such high expectations. The movie wasn't a complete disappointment, the boys seemed to like the "ripping of the arm" part. Everything seems to amuse boys
- sigh
I liked Max's wolf outfit, i wouldn't mind wearing that one piece to bed, but preferably a cleaner version :)

I was so bored i watched Gossip Girl with Sylvia - only bits of it, cos i was washing the dishes and walking back and forth to catch a glimpse.
* hears Ryan applaud in the background

Blair is super bitchy, but we love her still.
Oh, American drama!
Speaking of America, i would really love to go there and pay a stop at famous icons, visit my uncle and cousin, experience Halloween and witness a white Christmas. dream on

More reasons to that -- but perhaps another time.

(P.S. i started re-reading my past blog posts, and i noticed my writing style changed a little. Plus i couldn't help but refine/edit my bad spelling and grammar)

Friends 18th Bday

Felix, Jeno and Mary's 18th Birthday
It was funtastic!
I hung out with Eileen for most of the time. The party started at 6pm at Felix's and the
theme was Casino Royale, so everyone came looking fabulous and formal. It felt like it was formal night again (but better, because i enjoyed myself this time).

There was so much things to do, it was like activi
ty overload lol
jumping castle, Gladiator thing, spit roast, cake, water melon eating competition, karaoke, food, poker..
Oh, i only started getting ready half an hour beforehand. I was meant to wear whit
e heels, but they were dirty... sighs i'm so unprepared. Me and Eileen decided to go around taking photos and explore. We jumped about on that gladiator jumping castle thing but we had to hold onto our dresses (it kept sliding down) and we sang karaoke loudly! man it was fun.. The water melon eating competition was so gross. There was bits of watermelon flying in all direction. Johnson was the clear winner lol

Ryan and Vicky wowed us once again with their fabulous High School Musical show *claps
Towards the end of the night, there was so much food left over.. Sophie and i started e
ating to "help out". The spit roast was so chewy, but nicely marinated.
People kept saying it was raw, it's ok to eat raw beef right?

So we sang Happy Birthday, ate cake and took more photos before me, Eileen and BK decided to head home.
I was happy, i fulfilled the day.

Unexpected visitors

Unexpected Visitors
Bloggers seem to like my mini mangas, so here's another one just for you lot.

Whether its the installation people or your friends. Nobody likes unexpected visitors. It's okay if you are the visitor, but being the victim of unexpected visits stinks. As mentioned a thousand times, i sleep really late - 3am
Therefore i usually snooze til noon. The thing is, people like to visit at this time, because its like visiting peek hour.

Randoms would stop by our front door and ring the bloody door bell. I can't stand our doorbell, i wouldn't mind if it's like Marge Simpson's "Close To You - Carpenters" doorbell. Our doorbell sounds more like a buzz. Anyways, the point is, i loathe unexpected visits because i always look a mess when answering the door. I'd have bags under my eyes and Hermione's hair when i wake up.

So i'd usually pop on a beanie when i answer the door :)

(and yes i do have bear slippers)

Anyways!
i'm so mega bored right now, so i've decided to update (ish) my music box and post something random. Tomorrow is my friends 18th Birthday, ohh boy!
I'm still unsure of what to wear? something mature and ladylike or cutesie?
OMG *pulls hair
Being a girl rocks :)

Imbecile

Boys are such imbeciles. Well not "all" boys, but some are so arghhh.. Girls usually leave these little clues for guys, but they just don't seem to pick it up. Seriously, how hard is it? I mean if she was talking to you and her pm says she's listening to "Yes I'm In Love", isn't it obvious that she's crushing on you? well maybe not, But you get the idea!
It feels good being single. Everyone says, "being single and taken has its pros and cons"
i suppose so. It's like being asian or white has its pros and cons, or being a guy or girl has its pros and cons. Is there such thing as discrimination towards single people? I have no idea what i'm typing. People usually say "single to mingle", but what if you don't want to mingle? Not all single people want to mingle.
The most annoying thing family friends would ask is "So, when are you getting a Boyfriend?"
From the way they say it, it sounds like b
oys are material possessions. Oh, i'm getting a boyfriend tomorrow when they are 20% off, how about you? not cool
So when people ask me that, i'd answer "I think i'm going to live alone with a dog for company"
Is it a quest or something to find a boyfriend? I have a family friend who's 40 and is still single (by choice)
Ok, so i was watching the Nanny (it's actually a funny show)

Mom: "trust me, Blah is not the girl for you"
Guy: "how do you know?"
Mom: "you're still questioning - means you're still in love"

doesn't really make sense, bleh.
